  •   Hidden Occupational Costs
      In addition to direct economic loss to the organization from fraudulent or abusive behavior,   there are indirect costs to be considered: The loss of productivity from hiring and firing   abusive employees, legal action, increased unemployment, government intervention, and   other hidden costs of fraud and abuse.

      According to the U.S Chamber of Commerce, business annually lose approximately $40   billion to employee theft.

Abuse Chart

All of the information described below is calculated based on the following criterion:

  • A 1% Abuse Rate is equivalent to 4.8 minutes/employee/day in a typical 40 hour week.
  • The U.S. Chamber of Commerce estimates that Employee Theft accounts for over $40B in losses to U.S. Business each year.  Employee Time Theft accounts for the largest segment of that abuse.  Employee Time Theft estimates range between 2% and 5% of employee earnings.  A 2% rate is equal to 48 minutes per week, or at $8/HR, over $320 a year per employee.
